We would like to welcome you to our lovely 2 bedroom Gite set in a beautiful mature garden of 1.5 acres with plenty of places to sit and enjoy. The garden has access to the River Tardoire to enjoy where you can just sit and watch the local wildlife as time goes by or you can fish from the secluded river bank (Local licences required). The Garden also has a large unheated swimming pool, open from April until the end of September, surrounded by a fence with loungers, sun beds, parasols and pool floaties. There is a BBQ area adjacent to the pool which guests are able to use. If your traveling along the EV3, we have safe and secure parking for your bicycles. The Gite has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, separate toilet and shower room. There is an open plan living space with a large flat screen TV and sofa. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, electric cooker, microwave and coffee machine. There are plenty of crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. The kitchen are also has table and 4 chairs. At the back of the Gite there is a decked area with a small BBQ and garden furniture. We are situated 1.5km from the centre of Montbron, with its weekly Friday market and monthly Antiques market. It is a busy town which also has a large Intermarche, restaurant and bars. There is lots of things to see and do in the area - Le Chambon activity park is only 6km away. La Rochefoucauld, with its beautiful Chateau and winding streets is only 12km away. The Haute Charente Lakes are within 1/2 hour drive. There is the Golf International de la Preze 11km away. The Moulin de la Tardoire Michelin star restaurant is within 3km, Canoe on the Tardoire at Vouthon only 1km, Karting at La Rochefoucauld 12km, Piegut is only 20km with its fantastic weekly market, known as the best in the region and a great Adventure park at Massignac 20km. Through out the summer there are lots of festivals and events that take place in the local area.

We are Chris and Trace Marshall, we moved to France early in 2022 to enjoy the way of life and all France has to offer with our Dalmation dog - Daisy. We have both worked in the Catering and Hospitailty industry for most of our working lives and take pride in the service that we provide.

We are situated on the D62 close to centre of Montbron, which has 2 supermarkets, bars and restaurants and only 12 kms from La Rochefoucauld with even more bars and restaurants as well as a beautiful Chateau. The local area is quiet but there are still plenty of things to do, canoeing, walking, karting, cycling, golf, adventure parks and lakes. During the summer months there are lots of festivals and events in the local area. We are situated not far from the EV3 cycle route - La Scandiberique.
