Peace and quiet, relaxation, a breath of fresh air in the French countryside are just some of the reasons you will want to visit our modern, well equipped self catering gite. Les Chails is attached to the owners home but has it's own entrance and sunny, private garden and the property is surrounded by countryside. It is well situated for long country walks or bike rides down the numourous lanes or tracks. The small town of Vasles has everything you might need for day to day necessities including a quality bakery, butchers, a Spar convenience store as well as a chemist and Bar Zinc which is a good place to stop for a coffee, beer or meal and watch village life. There is a small local market every Tuesday morning.
We are an English family living and working in France since 2009. We love our life here and want to share our holiday gite so you can enjoy a lovely, relaxing holiday here too. Whether it's brewing beer, making our own sausages and paté, or jams, jellies and chutneys, life is never dull!
Les Chails is situated between the villages of Vasles and Les Forges on the Deux Sevres / Vienne borders of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. Within 45 mins of Futuroscope and 1h 30mins from La Rochelle and it's beaches.
