It offers peace and tranquillity surrounded by nature. On the ground floor is a 2 room family suite with separate kitchen and dining facilities and a private terrace. On the first floor, up the original stone staircase, are 2 double rooms with ensuite bathrooms, available to book together as a family suite or individually served by a large corridor / relaxation area with coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave. Free WiFi is available in all rooms Walk in the 2.5 hectares private woods or enjoy the relaxing outdoor communal area with BBQ, 3m dining table and hot tub. Be inspired by the large artist studio on site where periodically workshops are held. In spring the courtyard prairie is left to grow and is full wildflowers including orchids and daisies. In summer the surrounding fields are often full of sunflowers.

I am a textile artist specialising in batik and former art teacher from the UK. My husband and I have spent the last few years renovating this beautiful old farmhouse and look forward to sharing it with our guests. Our vision is to create a place of tranquillity and creativity, surrounded by nature: an escape from modern life.

La Brise is a small hamlet in the village of Nueil-sous-Faye surrounded by agricultural land, halfway between Tours and Poitiers. The nearest supermarket is in the historic town of Richelieu (7.5km - 12mins). Chinon in only 23km (25mins) away with its famous fortress and medieval streets. It also offers kayaking on La Vienne and has several restaurants and artisan shops, weekly market on Thursday mornings and monthly flea market / brocante. Whilst slightly off the beaten track, there are still many lesser known châteaux to discover: Monts sur Guesnes (9km – 10mins), Château Rivau (15km – 18mins), Château Oiron (31km – 30 mins), Azay-le-Rideau (41km – 40min), Château de Villandry (53km – 52mins) Saumur (52km – 50mins) is a great day trip with its château on La Loire, many caves producing sparkling wines like Gatien et Meyer and Ackerman, troglodyte dwellings and mushroom museums. Near by Vignobles :Chinon, St Nicholas de Bougeuil, Saumur, Touraine, Haut Poitou Other attractions: Futuroscope in Poitiers (44km – 45mins), Puy du Fou (112km – 1h 40 min), There are multiple other leisure activities within 30 mins such as outdoor swimming pools, horse riding, golf, go-carting etc.
