Welcome to "Les Freds" in Ventavon, in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes! Passionate about my region and meeting new people, I am dedicated to welcoming my guests in a warm, friendly, and authentic atmosphere.
If you are staying in Ventavon, you are ideally situated between the Alps, Provence, and Lake Serre-Ponçon. Here are my top recommendations for outings within an hour’s drive: Méouge Gorges: turquoise waters, a Roman bridge, swimming, and hiking. One of the area's most beautiful natural sites. Lake Serre-Ponçon: beaches, paddleboarding, boating, scenic viewpoints, and spectacular sunsets. Waterfall (below Pic de Crigne): a short, refreshing walk close to Ventavon. Col de Faye: a magnificent panoramic view of the Durance Valley. Villages and Heritage * Ventavon Castle: historic ruins offering a superb view. * Sisteron and its famous Rocher de la Baume (Baume Rock). Stroll through the narrow streets and visit the citadel. * Lagrand: a charming, perched medieval village. Hiking The trails around Lake Serre-Ponçon offer magnificent views and cater to all skill levels. The Sentier des Curattes and the lakeside walks are particularly popular.
