We live next door and can help with local tourist information, booking restaurants, tickets, etc and we can arrange a chauffeur service to and from airports/train stations as well as guided tours of the area. We have a small enclosed private garden accessible from the kitchen of Les Hirondelles. Within walking distance there is a watermill with an area to play boules/petanque (we have a set you can borrow) and a small enclosed park with climbing frame and swings suitable for toddlers. There are many short and long circular forest walks that you can enjoy with the whole family.
The property was bought by my French grandfather, the cartoonist Marijc (friend of Hergé) in the 1950’s. I have inherited his artistic traits and have filled our gite with my contemporary paintings and I have paintings of the local area for sale.
The house is close to an 11th century church. Our village has an Abbey and a Chateau to visit nearby. In the middle of France's largest beech tree forest, there are many walks and cycle rides from our front door. A bus goes from our village to Rouen which has connecting buses and trains to Paris. We are also ideally situated for day trips to Monet’s garden in Giverny, Dieppe, Honfleur, Parc St Paul or Paris.
