Relax with family or friends at our home from home gite based in the rural hamlet of La Roche de Bord. We are in the Poitou Charente bordering departments of the Deux Sevres, Charente and the Vienne. We have a heated pool for lazy days at the gite or some amazing places to visit in the area, all within a short drive. For beach days La Rochelle is 119km - 1hr 40 drive and well worth a full days visit. We also have a few lakes not far for either fishing, kayaking or swimming. The choice is yours!
We live on the property with our 2 small dogs so will be around when needed but on the whole we will leave you to enjoy your holiday.
We live in a rural hamlet 2 km from Vanzay a small friendly village and 5km from Chaunay which has a co-op for all of your essentials, a boulangerie, a post office, hairdressers and a Sports Bar & Tabac. Couhe, another local town, has an Intermarche for bigger grocery shopping and a great Pizza restaurant called Melkins which we frequent often and is very popular with families. A car is needed as we are in a rural hamlet but only 5 mins to Chaunay where there is a restaurant, hotel, bar, boulangerie, supermarket, post office, hairdressers & church. Parking is available on site for up to 2 cars.
