The OVO Network team’s opinion - Lodge Cresson is a bright, contemporary apartment on the first floor of a building in Châtel. Ideal for families, it can accommodate up to four adults and two children, with two double bedrooms and a bunk room for two. One of its greatest assets is its location, just 1.3km from the village centre and just a few minutes' walk from the lake and ski lifts. This makes it a great choice for a holiday at any time of year. As soon as you enter, you'll step into an elegant open-plan living area that's both cosy and functional, with a comfortable seating area, a large dining table and a fully-equipped kitchen. The lounge, furnished with two sofas and an armchair, has glass doors opening onto a covered south-facing terrace. Here you’ll find a second dining table and outdoor seating, where you can relax and enjoy the scenery. There are two double bedrooms, both of which open onto the terrace, and a bunk room for two. One of the bedrooms has its own shower room, while the main bathroom, with bath and toilet, is shared by the other rooms. This comfortable and welcoming property also has a separate toilet and a laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a ski room and one parking space. Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included. Security deposit: The owner requires a 1,000 euros damage and excess cleaning guarantee. No funds are taken or blocked on your card. Your payment details are securely held for up to 14 days after departure. If no charge is required, they will be deleted.

The chalet is in a peaceful location in Châtel, one of the 12 ski resorts that make up the Portes du Soleil ski domaine. The village is surrounded by four ski areas (Super-Châtel, Barbossine-Linga, Pré la Joux, and Plaine Dranse), with a total of 41 lifts and 45 pistes, catering for all ages and abilities. While retaining its Savoyard architecture and charm, this small, traditional village has blossomed with the growth of tourism, and now offers all the amenities and facilities you'll need. These include a pool complex with several swimming pools and a wellness area, as well as a wide selection of gourmet restaurants, both in the centre and close to the slopes. Outside the ski season, an extensive network of mountain trails attracts mountain bikers and hikers to the area. Adrenalin-seekers can take to the air on the “Fantasticable”, an oversized zip line that flies over the valley at 100km/h! Geneva (1hr 30mins away) and Lausanne (1hr 10mins) are great options for day trips, as is the beautiful medieval village of Yvoire on the shores of Lake Geneva (1hr). You could also explore the charismatic Château de Chillon near Montreux (40mins). Châtel is easily accessible from Geneva airport by car (approx. 90 minutes), train or bus.
