Camping Les Sapins is run by Dutch owners Lia and Jos, who realised their dream in 2010 by taking over this beautiful campsite in the Pyrenees. They deliberately chose this location for its tranquillity, stunning mountain setting and sweeping views. With years of experience in healthcare and employment integration, they bring a warm and personal approach to hospitality.Peace, space, nature and culture are the core values that Lia and Jos live by every day. Guests are welcomed personally and well looked after — from hiking advice to organising outdoor activities. The campsite is affiliated with ACSI and works together with Lodge Holidays for luxury safari lodge rentals. Reception is open daily from 08:00 to 19:00.

Camping Les Sapins is situated at 1,280 metres above sea level on the Plateau de Sault, surrounded by the unspoilt nature of the French Pyrenees. From your tent, chalet or safari tent you enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley, mountains and the picturesque villages of Camurac, Comus and Montaillou. The fresh mountain air, filled with the scent of pine trees, makes your stay immediately special.The campsite has 90 spacious pitches and offers a variety of accommodation options: from classic pitches for tents and caravans to fully equipped tents, chalets and static caravans. On warm days, the swimming pool with a separate children's pool offers a refreshing dip; it is safely fenced and open from late June to mid-September. Children also love the volleyball court, trampoline, table tennis and various playground equipment.The cosy restaurant next to the garden serves freshly prepared daily dishes, pizzas, fresh bread rolls, croissants and snacks. Free wifi is available at the reception. For those who find it a little cool at altitude: a small heater can be rented for a modest fee. The campsite is open from late April to mid-October.

Camping Les Sapins is located in the heart of one of the most spectacular and lesser-known corners of southern France. The surrounding landscape is defined by sweeping highlands, deep gorges and impressive limestone formations. The famous hiking routes GR107 and GR7B — also known as the Sentier Cathare — pass virtually alongside the campsite and offer walks of various levels through a historically rich landscape.Nearby are the Gorges de la Frau and the imposing Château de Montségur, the last stronghold of the mysterious Cathars. The neighbouring village of Montaillou also has a rich Cathar heritage. Families will enjoy day trips to the wolf park in Orlu, the Dinosaur Museum in Espéraza and the butterfly garden in Lesparrou.Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy rafting, canyoning, horse riding, rock climbing and mountain biking — largely bookable through the campsite itself. Fishing is possible just 10 minutes on foot. Andorra is just over an hour's drive away. The Languedoc-Roussillon region is also known for its beautiful vineyards and authentic villages.
