Champagnat is a small and quiet village on the border of Burgundy and the Jura, set in a green and rural landscape. It is a lovely place to relax, while there is plenty to discover in the surrounding area. About 5 km away you will find a supermarket and shops for everyday groceries. In the village itself there is Lac de Louvarel, a beautiful recreational lake where you can walk and swim. The charming village of Cuiseaux is nearby and offers an outdoor swimming pool, restaurants, and a pleasant village center. For nature and day trips, Lac de Vouglans and the stunning Cascade du Hérisson are within driving distance. Cities such as Bourg-en-Bresse, Lons-le-Saunier, and Louhans are also easily reachable for markets, shops, and restaurants. Champagnat therefore makes a peaceful base from which to explore both Burgundy and the Jura.
