Maison Corbert - A 'maison de maitre' within 3 minutes walk to the pretty village of Siran in the Minervois, where you will find a bar, grocery shop and boulangerie.
Chambre Bleue is South facing and features a large terrace with views across the countryside, as far as The Pyrenees (on a good day), seating for 4, along with 2 sunbeds and parasol.
Chambre Verte is on the North side of the house and has a view over gardens towards the Black Mountain.
The bedrooms are joined by a private landing and are therefore suitable to be booked together for a family / group of 4.
Please note that the breakfast supplied in the rooms do not include 'fresh' bread - breakfast is 'continental' style 'on the go' and includes biscottes, jam, honey, butter, cheese, yoghurt, cereal, juice, coffee, tea. There is a boulangerie within 4 minutes walk where fresh croissants etc can be bought if required.
Originally from N. Ireland, where I ran a successful AirBnB for 8 years, I moved to France in 2021 and am enjoying my life in the Minervois with my 3 little rescue dogs.
I am a yoga teacher and also qualified Indian head masseuse.
If you need any further information about the property or rooms, then please do not hesitate to ask
This is a great stop on the wine route of The Minervois with many local vineyards to visit.
There are some lovely historic villages to visit, my favourite being Minerve, as well as the villages of the Canal du Midi such as Homps and Le Sommail.
There are 2 local markets - Tuesday in Olonzac, and Friday in Azille where you can buy some delicious local produce (Olonzac is the much larger market where there is also a wide range of clothing and souvenirs)
There are many great local restaurants - reachable by car / bike, however if you want to be able to wander by foot to a local cafe / bar/ brasserie, you can walk to the Bar in Siran in under 3 minutes from Maison Corbert.
