To respect the environment and the slow philosophy, La Doucelle attaches great importance to minimizing its carbon footprint, and pays particular attention to its energy consumption (geothermal energy), the management of its waste (composting, sorting, zero waste), the reuse & upgrading (vintage furniture, repair, wabi sabi), sourcing of its products (100% organic, responsible or local, without toxic products).

Welcome to the Doucelle, the so aptly named … Our Charming Relais, Guest House & Culture, is nestled in a pretty little village in the heart of the Normandy Maine Regional Nature Park, on the Mayenne/Orne border. Surrounded by forests and hedgerows, this former presbytery lovingly restored by a couple fond of music, nature, encounters and art, offers 5 beautiful rooms for rent (from 14 to 38m2, including 1 family suite), covering each the name and atmosphere of a cult song from the French heritage. All bathrooms are ensuite except Mme rêve which is the small bedroom and has a lovely old fashioned bathroom on the landing next to the bedroom. The private wc of the family suite (two bedrooms) are on the landing facing the two bedrooms. The house, imagined as an invitation to relaxation, contemplation, reconnection with nature and the senses, has several comfortable spaces (large living rooms, dining room, fireplaces and cozy armchairs, contemporary art), a terrace overlooking the magnificent landscaped park of 5000m2 (with many trees and a small pond), a large vegetable garden of 500m2 with its vegetables and herbs. Gourmet table d'hôtes prepared with fresh produces from our vegetable garden and a selection of products from the surrounding region.
