My husband and myself, came first to the region 20 years ago and fell in love with the beautiful location of the property. We started to restore all the buildings in the next 20 years and we are now almost finished what we planned to do. We live part of the year in the United Arab Emirates, where we have our engineering company. In the holiday season I always return to France to assist the staff with the holiday lettings. Nowadays my daughter Sanne is also helping, as we have a growing number of houses, which we rent out for the holiday season.

The property is located near the village of Auriac-du-Perigord and near to the town of Montignac, with its famous caves of Lascaux. La Maison du Cedre is situated at the entrance of our domain Lalande-Laborie and close to D67. On the domain you can also find our Maison du Maitre, Laborie, a Spa and two treehouses, all in beautiful surroundings of forests and meadows and even some vinyards. The house has two terraces at the back and in the front. The terrace at the back of the house has a pergola and an open kitchen unit with barbecue, ideal to spend the evenings. There will be a pool in place by next year spring. Children can play in a large garden. The house itself has 4 bedrooms of which one has a bunkbed for 2 children and with the possibility of putting a baby cot as well. There are two bathrooms, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The kitchen has all modern conveniences, such as dishwasher, ovens and fridge and freezer. A washing machine is available on the ground floor. In the cosy living room you will find a wood-burner and there is airconditioning and heating throughout the house. A wonderful place to spend your holidays !

The Dordogne or Perigord is a incredibly beautiful region, with so many things to do. You have its beautiful nature with the rivers Vezere and Dordogne, where you can go canoeing. There are many sportive activities to be done in the region. Hiking and Mountainbike trails are everywhere, as well as trails for horseriding. Gastronomically the region is great. Think about the truffles, foie gras, fruits and vegetables. There are many nice restaurants in the villages around our domain. Further there are lovely towns to visit, such as Sarlat or Perigueux and very beautiful villages, such as St-Leon-sur-Vezere, Fanlac and many others and the many castles.
