This mill welcomed us like it was always meant to be. We love this corner of France - its châteaux, vineyards, rivers and Sunday walks - and we love sharing it. Ask us anything: we'll gladly pass on everything we know, and we do our best to be present and available for you. Welcome to our home. We hope you'll feel as happy here as we do.
The mill sits at the heart of a golden triangle: Blois 5 km away, Chambord 13 km, Cheverny 13 km. Everything is close - and yet from the garden, all you hear is the river. The châteaux Chambord first - Leonardo da Vinci's double-helix staircase, the rooftop terraces, the vast royal forest surrounding it. Then Cheverny, still lived-in and lively, with its pack of hunting hounds and immaculate gardens. Blois for its royal château and House of Magic, Chaumont-sur-Loire for its contemporary gardens that reinvent themselves every season. One stay won't be enough - and that's exactly the point. Loire à Vélo The cycling route runs along the Loire just minutes from the mill. Flat, well-marked, beautiful. Guests who cycle it once tend to come back. The Chambord Forest 5,400 hectares of protected woodland. Deer, wild boar, roe deer. At dawn, it's something else entirely. The table The region produces what it eats: game, Loire river fish, goat's cheese, Cheverny and Touraine wines. From simple village inns to Michelin-starred tables, the choice is genuinely rich. We're happy to share our favourite addresses. Vineuil A quiet, human-sized village. Bakery, supermarkets, pharmacy — everything you need within 2 km, without ever feeling like you're in a city.
