We are Christina and Colin, and we live on site and look forward to welcoming you. Moulin des Forges is a family run gite complex compromising of several gites, glamping and camping set on 4 acres of peaceful woodland, lakes and streams. We happily accept dogs at a charge of 30EURO per dog per stay, (Maximum of 1 dog in the Penthouse, 1 dog in the Lodge and 2 dogs Mill House) Please let us know at the time of booking. Moulin des Forges is an idyllic spot to relax and unwind and we welcome our guests to take advantage of the lovely scenery and walk around the Mill ponds, sit by the waterfall, relax in the natural setting. We have a swimming pool (reserved for guests only) fully equipped games room -Wi-Fi access, snooker table, dart board, games console, books & dvds. All our Gite properties have been recently renovated and fully equipped with everything you would need for a great holiday. Bed linen and towels are provided for all guests (Towels are not provided for use at swimming pool) We ask for a 200EURO security deposit upon arrival, in either cheque or cash, this is refunded upon satisfactory check out Winter season- electric heating provided. Each Gite has a fireplace, x1bag of wood is included per day. Extra bag charged at 5EURO each. Payment is made at time of check-in. Travel cot available (request at time of booking) High chair (request at time of booking) Shared washing machine facilities (Charges apply)
We are Christina and Colin and we moved from the South-East of England to renovate and run Moulin des Forges. We live onsite with our 3 dogs and are available to our guests at certain hours advertised on site and outside those hours for emergencies We were featured on series 7 of New Life in Sun (2022)
Moulin des Forges is set on the outskirts of the pretty village of Moutier Malcard which has a very well stocked shop and friendly bar/tabac both of which are easily accessible by car being only 1.8km away. We are located within the area known as the 3 lakes. Le Bourg-d’Hem and Anzeme are both beautiful picturesque lakes for swimming, boating and walking. They are within a 20 minute drive of the Mill. Further afield are the lakes of Eguzon, Siddiiailles and Vassiviere.
