🌿 Our story We fell in love with Sorède for its unique combination of mountains, sea and year-round sunshine. We spend our time here walking in the hills, cycling the local routes, exploring markets and enjoying the relaxed village atmosphere. One of our favourite discoveries has been the nearby Pyrenees ski resorts - allowing you to ski in the mountains and return to the mild Mediterranean climate the same day. It’s this mix of activity and relaxation that makes Mountain View such a special place to stay.

🏡 Heart of the village - Village location The house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac with no through traffic, yet only 100 metres from the village square. Here you will find three restaurants, a pizza takeaway, greengrocer, butcher, hairdresser and an excellent cycle hire shop offering electric bikes, tandems, children’s bikes and trailers. The restaurants have outdoor seating and the main café is open throughout the day for coffee and refreshments. 🚶 Walk to cafés, shops & market Just 100 metres in the other direction is another popular café/bar overlooking a charming tree-lined square which hosts the weekly Friday market. A short walk further brings you to two excellent bakeries, a convenience store and a newsagent/tobacconist. Nearby you will also find a large children’s play park and recreation area, pharmacy and wellness services, post office, ATM, tourist information centre and local council offices. Sorède is a traditional Catalan village in the Albères mountains, only 8 km from the beaches of Argelès-sur-Mer, Le Racou and Collioure, making it an ideal base for exploring both the Mediterranean coast and the Pyrenees with incredible amount of attractions to suit ALL ages and interests.
