Numéro 96 is situated only 170 metres from the centre of the village of Bussiere Poitevine within the Val d'oire et gartempe commune. The village has full amenities with restaurants, bars, boulangerie, small supermarket, pharmacie, post office, hairdressers and bank which are all within just a short stroll down the street from us. Whilst we don't have secure private parking for cars there is a huge free public parking area immediately opposite our building which we use ourselves, however if you are travelling on bicycles or motorbikes then you are welcome to store these in our secure barn. All rooms have access to Tea & Coffee making facilities and also the large garden and terraces, in summer we do also provide a plunge pool that is available for guest's to use. There are 2 charging points for electric cars provided by the local commune and are located in the parking area immediately opposite our building. We do welcome domestic pets, however we now have to make a charge for the extra cleaning involved of 5 euros per pet per night which is payable by cash or card upon arrival. There is also a small charge for the local tourist tax which again is payable upon arrival of 0.77 euros per adult per night.

The centre of Bussiere Poitevine is little more than a 170 metre stroll (please ignore the 1.4km that Booking state.... They seem to have our position on Google maps wrong!) where you can access all the local amenities. The cities of Limoges and Poitiers are around a 45 minute drive away where you can find many lively shops, bars and restaurants as well as tourist attractions such as Futuroscope. There are numerous lovely walks locally and if you prefer watersports there is canoeing along the river Gartémpe or Paddleboards and Dinghys for hire at nearby Lac St Pardoux. Well worth a visit is Montmorillon known as the city of writing and books which has a busy market every Wednesday morning. Numéro 96 is ideally situated if you are travelling between the north/south or west/east of France and provides a very relaxing and welcome overnight stay.... or two.
