L'Oree de Giverny is a beautifull family house in wich all details have been cared to make a B & B to moderate, relaxing design. We have an attractive geographical location, the Epte river bordering our 4000 m² property is one Claude Monet diverted to make the lily pond. Located 1,5 km from the house of Claude Monet we have a major strategic position in a peaceful and lush settings. You will paas disadvantages of tourist crowds yet close to Giverny (few minutes by bicycle and 15 to 20 minutes walk).
Our passion for tourism and meeting new people drives us; we love welcoming guests, sharing experiences and chatting with them. We are mindful of the quality of our welcome and the importance of providing valuable assistance that saves our guests time and sometimes money. We love helping them discover our beautiful region and our favourite spots. But we also enjoy helping them discover what makes France special, from the little touches to the gastronomy and fine wines. We are happy to share our top tips.
Ideally, you should stay for at least three days, as there are many wonderful places to visit. Our location offers some great opportunities for excursions close to our B&B, L'Oree de Giverny. * The village of Giverny for lovers of photography, painting and watercolours (2 km away) Claude Monet's gardens and house. The Museum of Impressionism. The village church and Claude Monet's grave. For lovers of French history, don't miss the opportunity to visit the many historical sites nearby: * The old castle des Tourelles, the Collegiate Church of Notre Dame and the castle of Bizy in Vernon (8 km away) * The castle of La Roche Guyon (7 km away) * Vétheuil, a charming village where Claude Monet had his first home (15 km away) * The castle Gaillard, Richard the Lionheart's fortress located in Les Andelys (28 km away) * The Palace of Versailles and its gardens (60 km away) * Paris (70 km away - 50 minutes by train) * Beaches of Normandy (125 km away) For food lovers, there are two Michelin-starred restaurants just a few km from house: * Le Jardin des Plumes in Giverny * Le Domaine de la Corniche in Rolleboise The region offers numerous sporting and cultural activities.
