Orca di San Gavinu is a unique Guest House. Stèvanu and Fiurenza will continue the tradition of a warm and genuine welcome in the heart of this beautiful hamlet of San Gavinu of the town of Figari in the extreme south of Corsica. Timeless place but also current the Orca can juggle between tradition and modernism. Equipped with free WiFi internet and a computer with free access, you are never lost from yours loved ones. At 10 minutes from Figari international airport, with no noise disturbing the restful stay of its residents, 20 minutes from Porto-Vecchio and its trading port connected to major cities in southern France, Bonifacio the beautiful is just as close. From the Orca you can radiate throughout the south of the island in less than two hours by car. Staying at the Orca and more eating at its table d'Hôtes enjoying its traditional cooking of southern Corsica is a rewarding experience, tasty and cultural. You can interact with people of different nationalities but also practical understanding of daily life in Corsica and the Corsicans life in all their meanings. At the Orca be our Guests.
Stévanu hails from San Gavino where is located the Orca, Fiurenza his wife hails from Poggiale the brother village distant from 4km.
San Gavinu is a hamlet clinging to the foot of the Cagne mountain. Small jewelry of old stones and lush vegetation and flowers, it's good to live there. The climate is warmer and a mountain river close with natural pools is welcome when summer came to cool. Starting place for hiking, you get there by road, one escapes by sents. Terraces and in particular that of the Orca are very popular to drink an aperitif after a good game of pétanque with the villagers. Those who come here are still struggling to leave. Some never leave.
