A south facing home from home in the french Pyrenees. Sleeping up to 6 people and ideal for couples or small families.Featuring a king and double bedroom and a balcony overlooking a quiet street with mountain views. L'Oustal des amis offers a spacious lounge with comfortable seating that can converts into a king size bed. A large library/office area adjoins the lounge and there is fast wifi available throughout the house.The smart 75inch 4k uhd TV is perfect for relaxing evenings. Enjoy the BBQ overlooking the forest & peaks of Belcaire. The house is equipped with two fridge freezer, dishwasher gas hob & oven. Belcaire is known for its climbing centre & swimming lake. It also features a butchers that provides local meat from the plateau, a bakery & a convenience shop. You will also find a post office & cash machine all within walking distance
Belcaire was once part of the ancient Languedoc province. Its peaceful village is populated with 393 people. Located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, Belcaire enjoys the warm southern french weather without the stifling heat of the cities and lowlands. Being 1000 metres above sea level the landscape is mountainous, riddled with caves & thermal hot springs. Mountain sports are a plenty, Nordic skiing, snow shoeing and ski resorts all within driving distance. During the summer months why not take a dip in the village swimming lake & grab a bite to eat or drink at the ‘Buvette’ food stall. A short stroll through the village you will find a restaurant bar and a pizzeria, a popular choice for takeaway on the plateau! If you’re looking for fine dinning or a cold drink during the day visit Ô rendez-vous Roquefeuil which also has a modern cafe a bio shop attached. Take in the rich history of the Cathar country.The Aude region is home to two UNESCO world heritage sites. The fairy tale walled city of Carcassonne a short hour away, take the bus from Quillan.
