Everything has been thoughtfully arranged so you can enjoy a comfortable and effortless stay, and we remain available should you need any assistance. We are always happy to share our favourite local addresses and recommendations for outings and discoveries in the surrounding area. We are personally very fond of this village, which has become a true haven for us, and it is a pleasure to share this special place with our guests.

Set in a beautifully restored 17th-century monastery, fully renovated in 2019–2021, the property is nestled in a charming artists’ village on the banks of the River Seine, facing the historic Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church, a listed monument dating back to the 12th century. The house has been thoughtfully decorated, combining character with comfort. Generous amenities and carefully chosen details create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. A large, flower-filled garden invites guests to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The estate offers direct access to the Seine as it flows towards Paris. The water is clean and suitable for swimming during the summer months, with a small riverside “beach” just 50 metres from the house. To make the most of this setting, a selection of equipment is available to rent, including bicycles, stand-up paddle boards and kayaks. Each accommodation features its own private entrance, terrace with dining area and barbecue. The spacious garden is shared, yet designed to preserve privacy: terraces do not overlook one another, and several quiet areas are arranged throughout the grounds for relaxation.

Marnay-sur-Seine showcases green spaces and abundant nature. This French village offers moments of relaxation and leisure for those who seek for authenticity and nature. The café L’Expressoir, is located in front of the house. Here one can enjoy a warm and heart ambience, around an afternoon coffee or ice-cream, as well as the famous French apéritif time before dinner. The cafés cultural program is rich, especially with the summer concerts. Marnay also hosts a wonderful botanical garden, one of the 22 French gardens having obtained the label « Jardin Botanique de France et des Pays Francophones ». It is a truly peaceful place. Marnay-sur-Seine is a very atypical French village, also because it hosts international artist residencies over the past 20 years. Diverse artistic vernissages and expositions are held frequently in the village public places. Camille Claudel museum is located in Nogent-sur-Seine, 7km from Marnay. Pottery classes are available in the neighboring villages (less than 2km). Provins, medieval city and UNESCO world heritage, is a 25mn car ride. Troyes, cité of stained glass, is a 45 mn car ride away.
