The Pied a Terre Saulieu studio is large (approx 64 m2)on the ground floor of a former post house. The house has already undergone significant renovations. The studio is completely up-to-date and well furnished with an en-suite shower/toilet, living and dining areas and a kitchen. There is also a washing machine. Towels and bed-linen are provided as well as a lightweight duvet. The kitchen is very well equipped and includes a coffee machine, cafetiere, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator etc. Basic condiments are also provided (oil, vinegar, salt/pepper etc). There are various sizes of pots, pans and baking trays so guests will find self-catering a breeze. The living and dining areas are very comfortable and include a TV, PS4, video options as well as board games. Guests are welcome to use the large garden and barbeque facilities.

As a retired Irish couple we spend half the year in Saulieu enjoying the relaxed environment of the town in Morvan National Park. We have come to really enjoy sharing our house with guests.

Saulieu is a quaint medieval town and an ideal base for your visit to the Morvan and beyond. The Studio is within walking distance of shops - so you can enjoy fresh-baked croissants from one of the local boulangeries with your morning coffee. The nearby restaurants suit all tastes and budgets and together with specialist bread, cheese, wine, charcuterie and patisserie shops provide a true taste of France. Nearby towns within less than one hours drive make interesting day trips and the Morvan itself suits a huge range of outdoor activities - walking, hiking, cycling, fishing and swimming. For people who enjoy astronomy the Morvan Being further from the light pollution of cities and towns facilitates star gazing - either with an amateur telescope, or the naked eye. Here Mount Beuvray (Nièvre) at 821 metres high is one of the only truly dark places in the north of France. Saulieu is an ideal base for such activities.
