The Barn is a large and spacious conversion. There are six large bedrooms,an enormous kitchen and dining area that seats 14 people with ease. there is also a lounge area. The lounge has French and English television channels. The private Garden has a 7m x 4m pool (seasonal - usually from mid-May), large terrace,a lawn for sunbathing, barbecue area and a boule court. There is free off road parking for 10 cars. The area is surrounded by fields and is quiet and peaceful. We will provide a welcome pack for your arrival.
This is our holiday home. We love to use it as much as we can but we like other people to have the opportunity to experience it too. It is quiet and countrified but close enough to the village for your everyday needs and close enough to the town for everything else.
The area surrounding the Barn is quiet and tranquil. There are fields with grape vines and sunflowers which are spectacular in the sunlight. The village is a 10 minute walk away with a bar, restaurant, bank with a cash point, supermarket, pharmacy, post office, bakers and hair dressers. The historic town of Thouars is 10km away with its narrow streets and many restaurants.You will also find a hyper market for your weekly shop. There a many cycle routes nearby and tourist attractions within a short drive. The famous wine town of Saumur is a 25 min. drive away and there are many vineyards to try the local wines. There is a Bioparc zoo about 20 mins. away in Doué la Fontaine which houses many animals in as natural a habitat as possible. For a full days' outing, the theme parks Futuroscope and Puy du Fou are both around one hour's drive away and well worth a visit if time allows.
