We created this apartment as an opportunity to meet and greet other people and families from around the world to Provence. We have also focused on providing cycling facilities, renting bikes, recommending routes, providing guided tours with picnics, and all things bike related as we are keen cyclists ourselves and work for different bike companies specialising in this area. Clients are able to arrive as they please after 15.00 with the use of a key lock box facility. In this event we will give you time to settle in and then come to introduce ourselves and check that you have everything you need. We are happy to set up separate times for using the pool and pool area if this is of interest. Please note that the lounge doors of the apartment remain locked. The main terrace is no longer in use; moreover the courtyard garden provides our Clients with a beautiful, shaded independent terrace.

We bought this large property in 2002 and as it was too big for us alone, we found a way to carve out a niche apartment on the side. Years of work have gone into creating an amazing, independent living space, with it's own intimate, sun drenched, courtyard garden and separate entrance. Whilst we have rented the main house and apartment of many years, this is the first year we are listed on this site, hence our lack of recorded reviews. Illuminating features of this property are - Space - both inside and out, - Quiet - We are not located on a main road but rest amongst apple orchards and fields - Privacy - not overlooked by the main house, and - Location - for central access to all areas of interest, Avignon, Luberon, Alpilles and Mont Ventoux. Inside, the bedrooms are on either side of the living space, for greater privacy, and both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with walk in power showers. For convenience there is a fully operational laundry room which can also accommodate an additional bed or child's cot (if required). The living area is fully air conditioned and there are ceiling fans in both bedrooms with mosquito netting at the windows. We are happy to welcome your dog, knowing the pool area, your private courtyard garden and the back parking area are fenced in and secure. As a courtesy, please let us know you are bringing your dog as there is a charge of 10 euros per night. This can be paid in cash on arrival, as it is not possible to add this cost to the booking fee.

The local attraction is our proximity to some of the best cycling routes in the world. You can go straight from the house, which is predominately flat terrain, to warm up amidst the poppy and lavender fields, into challenging rides through hilltop villages throughout this entire region. Cafes and bakeries provide the perfect stop off's for refreshments along the way. It doesn't get any more beautiful than this! For entertaining children we are very close (20 minutes) to Splash World and a swimming lake with beach cafe. There are a host of other outdoor attractions; canoeing down the River Sorgues being an absolute favourite. The beautiful antique market town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is only 10 minutes away with its Brocantes and picturesque restaurants and cafes placed along the river. We have a chateau that you can walk to from the house, a landmark of Le Thor, set amidst a beautiful oak forest, and the village of Le Thor itself, a 20 minute walk from the house, with a weekly market, cafe's and all local amenities.
