Music, art... this is how I would sum my interests. Music because the Villa du Châtelet was built by the famous composer Léo Delibes and he frequently had fellow composers and artists stay here. Art, because the house was built by a, architect who built the opera of Paris with Charles Garnier and the villa is like it was in the 19th century with it's beautiful architectual details.

Property info

Only an hour from Paris and 45 min from Roissy CDG, la Villa du Châtelet was built by Léo Delibes the very famous 19th century composer of the opera Lakmé and the ballet Coppélia. We will welcome you as friends in our family Maison d'Hôtes and we hope that you will also enjoy our table d'hôte and why not a cooking class! Our rooms are spacious and confortable with each a magnificient view on the garden and the forest of Compiègne. The house, the garden, the surrounding forest of Laigue and the view on the forest of Compiègne are completely preserved as they were when Léo Delibes discovered this charming area. There are so many chateaux and historic places to visit very close by, such as the chateaux of Compiègne and Pierrefonds or the Armistice clairière. If you prefer nature, we have a direct private acces from the house to the forest of Laigue.

Surrounded by the most beautiful forests of France and by many chateaux and abbayes, the Villa du Châtelet is perfectly situated to discover magnificient historic places and preserved nature.
