21 Callanish Luxury Pod is situated in the crofting village of Callanish, just a few hundred metres from the amazing Callanish stones which can be seen from the grounds. The pod sits within its own recently rebuilt stone walled enclosure which was once the original croft house’s garden - it has uninterrupted views over the croft, a sea of wild flowers in the summer, to the hills of Uig. The fully insulated, large, open plan pod, sleeps two adults and is designed for your comfort with a king-size bed, underfloor heating and a corner sofa. In the kitchen there is a solid worktop, full size oven, hob and microwave. You can also relax to your own music with the integrated blue tooth sound system. There are no other pods on the croft!

Sharon and Grant (Callanish Photography) have worked tirelessly at rebuilding croft 21 at Callanish which was derelict when they took it over a year ago. The croft dates back to 1765 and has an interesting history including once holding the grazing rights to the Flannel Isles. Chickens now roam where old cars rusted and vegetables grow in raised beds from wood recycled from the old croft house roof. Amongst all the changes, the original blackhouse still stands where it has for hundreds of years.

Located only a short walk from the stones, 21 Callanish offers a wonderful opportunity for those that want to spend time at or photograph this stunning Neolithic site – you will not miss a sunset here! And there are many stone circles to visit within a short walk or drive! You can enjoy the very long summer days when there is little night or dark winter nights full of stars, when, at times, you can see the aurora borealis. Depending on the time of year, sea eagles, golden eagles, merlins, skylarks and many more birds can be seen above the croft. A walk through the Stones to the shoreline and if you are lucky you might see a seal, an otter, dolphins or salmon jumping. Callanish is an ideal base from which to visit the stunning west coast beaches, the beautiful beach of Dalmore is only 9 miles to the north and you can take in the famous Gearrannan Blackhouse Village on the way. Uig with its beautiful hills, beaches and the fantastic Uig Sands Restaurant is 20 miles to the west. PLEASE NOTE 21 Callanish Luxury Pod is for two adults only sleeping in a king sized bed.
