As you walk in to Buzzards Watch, you will step in to an open plan kitchen/ living and dining area. The perfect place to enjoy quality time together. Two comfy sofas are gathered around an open fireplace, creating a cosy space that's perfect for relaxing evenings in after a day of exploring or simply for enjoying the soothing sound of the fire during the colder Welsh months. From the front windows, enjoy views across the courtyard and towards the historic Abbey ruins. A smart TV (with included Netflix subscription) plus a wide selection of family and party board games offer entertainment for all ages, whether you're enjoying a quiet night in or a games night. The dining table for five sits at the front of the cottage where guests can enjoy meals while looking out at the Abbey. The kitchen with quaint cottage window overlooks the greenery behind and provides everything you need for relaxed home cooking. There’s an electric stove and oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, and high-quality Sage appliances including a coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Original features such as the beams above and the stone wall behind the dining table provide true rustic cottage charm. Upstairs: There are three cosy bedrooms upstairs to choose from, each offering storage, bedside tables and freshly laundered bedding and towels. The first bedroom is perfect for one, with a comfy single bed and luxurious bedding and pillows. Bedrooms 2 and 3 each provide a double bed in a quaint and characterful room, offering a cosy night's sleep after a day of exploring the estate and beyond. The bathroom includes a bath with overhead shower, sink and toilet. Step outside to the front courtyard, where a table and two chairs provide an ideal spot for a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Guests have full access to over 20 acres of private woodland and a shared garden. Note: The garden/ terrace is shared between the cottages, guest are welcome to explore the full estate.

Step out from the cottages onto scenic walking trails with stunning views of the lakes. Paths begin right across from the Abbey ruins and church, making it an ideal spot for dog walks. A short stroll leads to a bird hide beside the ancient lakes, accessed via a wooden gate between the waters. (Please keep dogs on leads, as sheep often graze nearby.) For those seeking adventure, the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains are within easy reach—perfect for hiking, mountain biking, or a day of exploring. There are many beautiful beaches within Carmarthenshire and if you venture an hour west you'll discover the unspoilt coastlines of Ceredigion and Pembrokshire, where stunning beaches and charming seaside towns await. Local attractions: Dinewfwr park - Discover a 12th-century castle with breathtaking views and explore a grand 17th-century manor house. The surrounding deer park offers expansive, peaceful walks and a real sense of history. Carreg Cennen castle - Perched dramatically on a limestone cliff, this castle offers sweeping views of the countryside. Scenic walking trails surround the site, and there's a great café for a post-walk snack. Dolaucothi Gold Mines - Run by the National Trust, this is Britain’s only known Roman gold mine. Guided tours take you underground to explore its fascinating history. Brechfa Forest - A peaceful woodland ideal for walking, mountain biking, and horse riding. Stop at The Black Lion in Abergorlech afterwards for a well-earned meal or drink. Llyn Lech Owain Country Park - A tranquil circular walk through woodland and around the lake. Great for families, with a children’s playground and picnic areas.
