The Abbey is a Four Star Guest House offering a special experience to all our guests. We have four recently created en-suite rooms, each designed to make you feel very comfortable with attention paid to decor and quality of fittings and materials. If you are looking for a weekend break or maybe working in the area and appreciate that bit extra quality, give us a try. Anne and Steve Ellis look forward to offering our very best service.
When not working we love walking on the nearby North Yorkshire Moors.
Redcar is a seaside town in the north east of England. We have the sea, wonderful beach and all the things you would expect from a day by the sea. Within 15 minutes by car you can experience the majesty of the North Yorkshire Moors, which is the largest area of heather in England. The rolling moors and deep peaceful valleys offer wonderful days out, either walking or simply enjoying the views from the passenger seat of a car. There is history there too with many connections to Captain James Cook who used to live in the area. Further down the Yorkshire coast you can visit Staithes, Runswick Bay and historic Whitby all within a 45 minute drive.
