Although the location of the cottages is special and feels remote (in a good way) it is only two miles from Aberdeen's city centre with its shops, theatres, bars, restaurants and cinemas. Aberdeen and its neighbouring region offers lots to do and see: castles, golf, whisky distilleries, coastal and hill walking. The bay next to the Lighthouse is one of the best places in Europe to see dolphins. Most (but not all) guests bring a car. The nearest bus stop is a ten to fifteen minute walk away up a hill across the nearby golf course.
