This is a beautiful one bedroom with En-Suit, and a lovely Murphy bed that pulls down in the lounge that has its own separate walk in shower room. This lovely countryside cottage that I feel very privileged to own, as it is located in the beautiful surroundings of Sherwood Forest with a wide variety of amenities nearby. You can also enjoy the lovely garden that has been carefully tended over the years, whilst sitting outside into the late evening and perhaps sharing a drink and meal. We very much hope that you choose to stay here and have as much of a lovely time as we do living here! Hot tub can be paid and booked on request. We do ask for a small refundable bond for your stay.
I love the area I live in as there is so much to see and do, and really enjoy sharing this with newcomers to the area - it's why I enjoy hosting so much! For example, you can walk to Sherwood Forest to see the Major Oak,with all its history, or take walks and bike rides around the local Rufford and Clumber parklands, or go ape at Sherwood pines. . I feel very fortunate to live in such a pretty area, and am keen to share this with all my guests.local bars and lovely restaurants within walking distance.
Acorn Cottage is situated in the heart of Sherwood Forest. There are lots of places to see, for example, the local visitor centre where children can learn all about Robin Hood. Close by is Sherwood pines if you fancy a good bike trail or a go at the GoApe adventure course. Try your hand at the local Rufford Golf Course, or just take a stroll around the lake. The White Post Farm is a short car ride away where children will love seeing and feeding the animals. Or you could cross over the road to Wheelgate where the children will have a ball on the water slides. You could also visit the Historic town of Newark with its castle, lovely shops, bars, and restaurants. Nottingham is a small journey away and has many attractions to offer including the castle and city caves. Nottingham boasts some of the best bars and restaurants in the East Midlands including the oldest pub in England 'The Trip to Jerusalem'.
