Oakerthorpe Holiday Village first opened in 2012 with 1 property known as Amber Lodge, proving a great success owner Vic Fell went about converting the other properties connected to Amber Mill Farm into a Holiday Village which now consists of 7 Holiday Lets ranging from 2 bedrooms to 9 bedrooms – the last property to be completed was in December 2015. Taking advantage of his farming roots and his love for animals especially the feathered variety a petting park within the walled Orchard of the farm was created with a variety of animals including pigs, geese, ducks, bantams, quails, peacocks, sheep and meerkats. A large play park fully fenced off for safety, consisting of swings, slide, climbing frame and large playhouse, canoe and full sized Ferguson tractor. The park includes a picnic area to relax and observe. Adjacent to the play park is a designated BBQ area facility consisting of 5 separate BBQs and for the more sporting of our guests is a flood-lit sports area. All in all a total Holiday Village experience has been created to make your stay here as happy and memorable as possible.
