Apartrooms is a new serviced apartment concept from D4 Development. We specialise in designing and building low energy buildings. Stuart Duncan, our founder is passionate about low energy living and felt it was about time the concepts were applied to serviced accommodation. After years of design and research he came up with Apartrooms. This building is unique, you will not find another building like it in the UK.

Apartrooms is all about smart, sustainable living. Our building is built to passivhaus standards, that means it uses far less energy than a traditional building. A super insulated structure, triple glazing, mechanical ventilation heat recovery all help reduce the energy consumption. On the roof we have 9kw of solar PV, which powers the building with all excess energy diverted to heat the the water cylinder. We love technology so we use voice control. Each of our 10 Apartrooms has an Amazon Alexa speaker. This means you can say "Alexa turn on the TV" or 'Alexa turn on the kettle" or "Alexa play Ed Sheeran" or "Alexa dim the lights" Each Apartroom has its own front door to the outside, similar to an American motel. There is no reception, we use Remotelock Wi-Fi smart locks, when you confirm your booking you will be sent a PIN code for the duration of your stay. We offer a free to use laundry with free washing detergent. We also have free off street parking and two free EV charging points.

Marywell is a very quiet, semi rural environment. There is a Coop and Asda supermarket nearby. McDonalds, Subway and Dominos Pizza outlets are all within 1.5 miles. If you work in Portlethen, Altens or Tullos, then we are very close. We are also close to the new AWPR Aberdeen ring road meaning that you can reach the city centre, Westhill, Kingswells, Dyce and Bridge of Don quickly. We are on a main bus route and taxis are easy to book.
