This is the third establishment in the Lisnacurran Collection by Jonathan and Lynne McCabe. The other two guests houses are nearby Lisnacurran, Dromore and Ralphs, Moira, all three are just 5-10 mins apart . Hospitality is their passion and the attention to detail is paramount. With a farming background the emphasis is on fresh, local produce and creative inviting interiors. At Arthurs we operate a self check in system: the door code and room number will be sent to you once payment has cleared 2 days before arrival. Staff will be on hand in the morning for breakfast and for room service in the morning . At all other times 24 hour support is available form all room phones. The owners, Lynne and Jonathan McCabe, personally designed all rooms, each with a different identity. They carefully curated the furniture, antiques and collectables over several years. The pieces selected had to be interesting, quality pieces complimenting the interior design in style and colour. This naturally sits well with today's focus on sustainability, re purposing and recycling using vintage and antique pieces. The fabrics, mostly velvets, are all warm rich colours, a harmonious blend of pattern, plain and geometrics, then completed with trimmings, braids and beadwork. A mix of recycled vintage haberdashery and those made by local artisans. If you catch Lynne you will be sure to hear a story attached to every piece! Arthur's is conveniently located beside fabulous shops, award winning restaurants and bars. With the wonderful forest park and lake just a few minutes away and the proximity to Hillsborough Castle the Royal residence in Ireland, Arthur’s location ticks the boxes. Arthur’s is named after the Marquis of Downshire, a homage to the fact that all sons since the second Marquis to the current 9th Marquis were called Arthur! One Marquis had the name Arthur in all 3 of his sons' titles, determined to secure the name's longevity. We are located right in the middle of the Main street of the historic Village of Royal Hillsborough. The décor oozes warmth with rich warm colours throughout in autumnal shades, taking inspiration form the nearby forest park.
