Artisan Studio is a unique (small) apartment, right in the heart of the West Coast fishing village of Tarbert, Argyll - on the shores of Loch Fyne - with it's many boats coming and going. It has been thoughtfully designed and tastefully furnished including a spectacular bespoke bed which folds away into the wall of the living room. The whole apartment is brilliantly laid out making the most of its location with views across the quay, and being remarkably spacious and comfortable for two people, considering its small size. The front room comprises the fold-away bed, a leather sofa, wardrobe, dining table and chairs, wardrobe, heater, internet enabled flat screen TV and curtains that have 'black-out' lining. The kitchen is fully equipped with a two ring induction hob with overhead extractor fan and light, fridge, dishwasher, washing-machine, microwave with combi oven. It is also equipped with an iron and ironing board, and complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. The shower room has a heated towel rail, grab rail for getting in and out of the shower and of course toilet, basin and mirrors. We created this wonderful apartment ourselves, and welcomed our first guests in May 2016.
Artisan Studio Apartment is located in the heart of the beautiful West Coast fishing village of Tarbert, where there are stunning views across the harbour with its mix of fishing boats and leisure craft. The Apartment is extremely well placed for access to all the local amenities on foot, with everything from restaurants, bars and cafes, to art galleries, gift shops, convenience stores and newsagents only a moment's walk from the front door. The Kintyre Way begins just a few hundred metres away, with a climb up the steps, past the ruins of Robert the Bruce's castle. Tarbert is extremely well placed for exploring the islands of the Inner Hebrides, with nearby ferry links to Islay, Jura, Arran, Gigha, and Bute via Portavadie. There are fantastic local beaches, and opportunities for walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, golf, bird watching, shooting and diving not to mention the various and very popular local Festivals - Music, Seafood and Whisky. Book your accommodation, ferry trips and distillery tours early to avoid disappointment - especially during festival times!
