Badgers Burrow is one of three B&B's at Appletree Hill Retreat., we also have Meerkat Manor & Hedgehog Lodge. Badgers Burrow is available from July 2024 The Burrow is a glamping Bell Tent, located in the lower paddock of the garden at Appletree Hill Retreat, located in a rural hamlet of Herefordshire. A place to reconnect with nature & a simpler way of living. Surrounded by our endearing animal family. Our donkeys Zebedee & Zachary, are the Burrows neighbours & love to welcome guests, we also guinea fowl wandering the garden & hens close by. Badgers Burrow can accommodate up to a family of 5. The Burrow is a 5 metre diameter complete compact living space. With a double futon bed, 2x single futon beds, storage draws, dining/study area. Can accommodate a travel cot or extra Jay-Be single bed. Bed linen included. There is also a kitchenette area with drinking water, fridge, small wash bowl, storage & kettle for making drinks. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk & biscuits. The lounge area has small sofa, a TV & DVD player. A gas heater is provided during the colder months. There is limited electricity inside the Burrow & some solar power lighting outside. Separate outside toilet & shower cubicles individually arranged on the back terrace, The toilet cubicle has a chemical camping toilet & a mains water instant heat tap & sink. The shower cubicle has a gas heated shower, with room to change & a portable bath that can be used for children, both have complimentary soaps & towels provided. There is an outside sink with fresh mains water. Outside the Burrow is a fenced grass area with picnic table with covered gazebo, BBQ, fire pit & children's outside play equipment. Safe parking. A continental breakfast is included every morning with your stay, to be delivered at a time of your choice in a traditional hamper to the Burrow. Evening meals are also available, at an additional charge, which are also delivered to the Burrow at a time slot of your choice between 5pm & 7pm.

I live with my wife Alex, in the bungalow of Appletree Hill. Badgers Burrow, Hedgehog Lodge Retreat and Meerkat Manor B&B are my passion and business, so the well being and care of my guests is paramount. My aspiration for you, is that your stay with us, is everything you wish for and more. So where possible I will be available, if needed during the day for any assistance or questions and in an emergency during the night. Close enough if you need me, but far enough for your privacy ..... Appletree Hill Retreat is a small holding and we have numerous animals, of which majority are rescues. We have a 2 donkeys, Zebedee & Zachary, 8 hens, 4 Guinea Fowl, 3 cats & 3 dogs all are our pets are family, but keep us very busy. A full deep clean will take place between guests leaving and the next staying, on all hard surfaces, and frequently touched surfaces. ALL linen will be washed in Anti~bacteria washing power and at the highest temperature possible. The accommodation is a private area, with self check in, all food is delivered to the accommodation, all linen provided. I look forward to welcoming you to our home & sanctuary .... Much Love x

Coddington is a very small hamlet with approx 12 dwellings, 2 working farms, a church and even its own vineyard. Within a 5 minute walk is 'Adhisthana' set in Coddington Court. A Buddhist Community that holds events & retreats and visit us often in the summer months, enjoying time with the animals. There are many lovely walks within Coddington, especially Oyster Hill, and lots of public footpath routes to follow in the surrounding area. The Malvern Hills are only a short distance away by car, for longer walks and spectacular views over Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Colwall is a small village 3.6 miles away that has a convenience store and a selection of places to eat and drink. Our nearest town is Historic Ledbury, full of charm, tudor buildings, as well as modern shops to meander round before stopping in one of the many tea rooms for a comforting break. Eastnor Castle is approx 6 miles which is a lovely family day our. Further afield are the 3 cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester with their inspiring cathedrals and shopping experience.
