Traditionally cosy stay. Walked into a big farmhouse style kitchen and gorgeous sunroom with roses cut from the garden. Big, comfortable chairs and a great selection of books in the living room. The Wi-Fi is good, but you will want to log off and...

Located on the shore of Loch Indall with extensive views towards the south of Islay it was a most interesting place to be. We were also entertained daily by Hector, the mechanical lawnmower who did his stuff daily in front of our window.

Amazing location, very central and almost next door to Bruichladdich (where I would highly recommend the warehouse tasting!). Would be a great location for a family with children, but for our party of four adults it also served very nicely. The...

A cosy and comfortable cottage on the shore of Loch Indaal. It is the right hand half of the cover photo. The left hand half is Caberfeidh House which is often unoccupied. There is a large and fully equipped kitchen. The attic bedroom has restricted headroom and is ideal for children. Coal and wood are provided free for the open fire. The cost of the electric heating is included in the price. There is underfloor heating in the shower room. From the Morning room there are views of the Paps of Jura. Entry is via the back door where there is a lockbox for the key.
My wife and I are retired doctors and Caberfeidh is our holiday home. We are often not on the island, but Neillian Maclellan our housekeeper is always available.
The Cottage is on the main road from Bridgend to Port Charlotte and Portnahaven. It is the sixth house beyond the world famous Bruichladdich Distillery and is opposite the Sailing Club and harbour. The beautiful village of Port Charlotte is less than a mile along the road. Loch Indaal is ideal for children's bathing. There is a delicatessen and coffee shop five minutes' walk from the Cottage Cycling is popular and the roads are quiet.
