Our central location is ideal to explore the rural beauty of Carmarthenshire or visit the fabulous north or south coast beaches within 40 minutes.Just 12 miles north of Carmarthen, we are easily accessible and though only half a mile from the main road, it feels like another world. The Afon Gorwydd winds its way through the bottom of this tranquil valley and there are stunning views towards Llanllwni mountain and windfarm, and the distant Preseli Hills. Enjoy the wildlife around the former farm; our frequent summer visitors include both Swallows and House Martins who love to nest in the eaves. Wonder at the dark skies and shining stars. Recently converted from a large Victorian barn, saved from dereliction and lovingly restored, the apartments are full of history and atmosphere. The apartments are warm and cosy and include a kitchen / lounge, shower room and one or two bedrooms. The stylish interior strikes a careful balance between the contemporary and traditional, and looks out over the beautiful valley. Fancy staying in? - chill out and watch Freesat or Disney+ or play one of the board games provided. Luxuriate in the large walk-in deluge shower, with piping hot water, towels and high-quality toiletries provided. Snuggle up in the comfy beds with natural fillings, with all bed linen provided for your stay. Want to extend your stay and work remotely? Each apartment has a table with power points and 4G wifi access available throughout. Mobile coverage is normally good for most networks or make wifi or zoom calls in the apartment. Your four-legged friend is also welcome to stay, just let us know in advance and bring your own pet bedding, towels and bowls.

A great location! Close to the Brechfa Forest and Llanllwni Mountain, the apartments are ideal for walkers, mountain bikers, star gazers and families wishing to stay in the beautiful surroundings of this former farm; set on the edge of the outstanding landscape of the Cambrian Mountains and the rolling Carmarthenshire hills. Our location is perfect for exploring West Wales: within a one hour drive you can visit the beaches on the north and south coast, Aberystwyth to the north, St Davids to the West, Swansea to the south and the Brecon Beacons to the east. Many of our visitors come to visit Skanda Vale as we are located just 20 minutes or so away.
