The Chauffeur's Flat is an ideal place to stay. Located on a quiet road in Snape, Suffolk and just a mile from the world-renowned Snape Maltings with its concert hall, shops and restaurants. We have three pubs in walking distance. A modern detached one bedroom flat with separate lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Bright and airy. On the edge of the countryside, this is somewhere you can enjoy a quiet break and be completely self-contained. There are lots of places to visit close by including historic castles, forests and the heritage coast. We provide literature and maps to help you make the most of your stay. If you prefer to stay in there are books; games; Smart TV and plenty of DVDs. Please note that this is a self-contained property and there are no staff on site. However we live next door to help so please do ask if you need anything at all.
We moved to Suffolk in 2007 after visiting for many years. Suffolk is a beautiful county: unspoilt; peaceful (we don't even have a motorway) and full of contrasts: beaches; forests and wonderful countryside. We enjoy walking, sailing, cooking and meeting new people. We have been hosting since 2009 and we love it here. We hope that you will too. Come and see for yourself.
On arrival we provide a welcome pack: home-made cake; tea; coffee and milk together with all the basics. We are usually on hand should you want to ask for advice or help during your stay but otherwise we will keep out of your way and respect your privacy!
Snape is a small village but close to wonderful places to visit, shop and eat out. We have a monthly farmers; market, a wonderful deli and a great local farm shop where you can buy local produce, all within easy reach. The local garage is within walking distance and has a well stocked shop too. All the major supermarkets deliver to Chauffeur's.
Off road parking. There are local buses from the village but not many! (3/4 mile walk to the bus stop) The local station is 2.5 miles away in Saxmundham. Taxis are available if pre-booked. One hour from Harwich port for ferries to Hook of Holland.
