Colliery cottage is set in the peaceful rural village of Cornsay Colliery 6.8 miles from the beautiful historic cathedral city of Durham. The cottage is within easy reach of the surrounding cities such as Sunderland and Newcastle which have many amenities such as shopping centres, bars, restaurants and entertainment facilities. There are also many attractions close at hand, Beamish Open air museum, Kynren, Hall Hill Farm, Durham luminair, Durham Gala, Metro Radio arena, the Metro Centre, the Sage and Sunderland Illuminations to name a few. We are also within easy reach of the Weardale valley. We have a children’s park at the foot of Steeley Hill woods which boasts some lovely walks. A 5 minute drive away is a garden centre which is home to a reptile house, birds of prey, duck pond, a children’s play area and a gift shop. Into the next village of Langley Park which is home to Diggerland where children young and old alike can ride on real diggers. The cottage sleeps 4 in a 2 bedroom mid terrace. The cottage has a well equipped fitted kitchen with appliances. A dining room with a log burner for cosy nights in, a separate living room with stunning views over Steeley Hill woods. There is parking to the front and rear. Also individually wrapped tea, coffee and sugar will be available. Toiletries are also provided these include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, towels and linen. We can provide a travel cot if needed..

There is also a large wood perfect for those who enjoy long walks and is dog friendly... A children play Park is at the foot of these woods.
