Set in the picturesque village of Great Easton, this luxurious, countryside cottage is the perfect place for you & your family & friends to come and stay. With a games room (home to a vintage table football), ample living space & multiple open fires, it makes for a cosy retreat. There is also a very large, secluded garden at the rear, with a pond, BBQ and outdoor dining area which is best enjoyed on a summers evening so you can admire the views across the rolling Leicestershire countryside. Not only will you get the whole of the cottage (made up of 3 kings, 1 double and 1 bunk bed room) for you and your guests to enjoy, the property also comes with a self contained annex which is where the 6th bedroom (double) is. It also has an open plan living room/kitchenette (with french doors out into the garden) and a bathroom.
Right on the border of Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire, this quaint little village although appears remote is very well connected. There are 2 fantastic pubs in the area. Firstly The Sun Inn situated pretty much on your doorstep is a recently renovated country pub. The second is The Nevill Arms in Medbourne, set next to a brook it's the perfect place to dine in the summer months, they also serve breakfast, just make sure to ring and book. Being in the heart of the countryside, there are lots of great walking routes in and around Great Easton - the proximity to The Jurassic Way is also an added bonus. Take a 15 minute drive and you will find the buzzy market town of Uppingham where there are a few nice eateries, including the newly opened No.23. If you are around on a Friday, make sure to visit the weekly market (8am - 4pm) and see all it has to offer 20 minutes in the other direction and you will be in Market Harborough, a larger, more vibrant town. Right on the border you will find The Red Lion at Great Bowden. Rockingham Castle is a 10 minute driveaway and is on the border of Corby, a small town that has a train station. If you're looking for a fun activity for the kids, Aqua Park Rutland is a 20 minute drive away. Not only will you be able to hire bikes and go for lovely walks around Rutland Water, the town of Oakham is just down the road. There is a bus stop in Great Eason, with the Rutland Flyer travelling to Corby and Uppingham and also local taxi firms, however we would advise travelling by car to make your stay as easy as possible.
