Croft 14 has recently been renovated and decorated to a very high standard. The house has high speed fibre broadband, and the kitchen is fully equipped and includes all new appliances including a dishwasher, separate fridge and freezer and a range cooker. There is a utility/bootroom with a washing machine and clothes pulley for drying clothes, a smart television and boxes of board games in the sitting room and the bedrooms have high quality bedding with plenty of cosy throws. There are gardens at the front and back of the property, with the back having a decking area and is fully enclosed making it child friendly. There is off road parking at the front of the property.
Hello, I am Tracey and along with my husband Callum we run Croft 14: a self catering holiday home on a working croft. We love hosting visitors to our lovely island and our own home at 10 Swordale is only 100m away, meaning we are on hand should you need anything. Our aim is that you really enjoy your stay, and we can give you lots of tips on where to go,local landmarks, beautiful beaches and places to eat. we enjoy walking and our son is a keen fisherman so we are able to give tips on fishing, local lochs and many of the island walks.
Swordale is a traditional crofting village in the Point peninsula just 5 miles from Stornoway town centre. Our local shop, Buth an Rubha and Cafe Roo is a 15 minute walk away. Swordale shore and the Braighe beach are within walking distance, as are trout lochs and moor walks. Whales, dolphins and sea eagles have all been seen nearby. Tiumpan Head in Point is widely considered as one of the best places in the UK for whale watching from land, and possibly Europe. There are many activities nearby. The islands are renowned for beautiful beaches, bird watching, some of the best fishing in the UK and fantastic surfing. We can supply information for any of these activities.
