Although the cottage is connected to the our house we hope you will appreciate the peace and quiet of the area. On a clear night the skies are amazing, sit and watch the stars with 0% light pollution! We are just 2 miles from the small market town of Sedbergh and only a half hour drive to the Lake District National Park. But you will not be disappointed with the walks in this area and stay away from the crowds. The infamous Cautley Spout is just 2 miles up the road, this is England's highest (cascade) waterfall above ground. Well worth a look and there are some stunning circular walks up to the Calf on the Howgill Fells, taking in the beauty of the Spout and the surrounding area.
