Extremely beautiful area and the owners make you feel right at home. Plenty of choice for food. They are photographers and are very kind with letting you know where to find certain wildlife. Great value for money

Location, quality of fit & finish of the premises is great, considering it was a derelict building before 2021. Still a work in progress, but all the areas where guests would be are impressive.

Absolutely stunning location. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. We only stayed one night but would definitely return again.

Featured in the BBC Shetland series, ( series 5) the house was built around 1790 for the Scottish Church but has recently been fully renovated. The property is well insulated and has sky tv. There is also a small lounge area/ breakfast room for you to relax in. We do have a small kitchen you can use if you get stuck finding somewhere to eat but this is for all guests so only for simple meals, tea and coffee and microwave food. If it's ok we may join you for a coffee and chat.
We moved to Shetland 3 years ago have spent the time getting to know the islands and restoring the house to get ready for our first guests. We are professional wildlife photographers so can help you get to the right locations for viewing wildlife. we also take out day trips to help you if you require. We look forward to welcoming you.
The area is stunning with a loch below the house, views over the Atlantic to Foula and it is totally peaceful. There is plenty to see with stunning cliffs, a small beach below the house, an old RAF base to explore and super walks in every direction. On a clear day you can see all the way to Fitful Head and even Fair Isle, in winter the waves break over the cliffs. We are 4 miles from the shop at Walls and the Friday Cafe. For dark skies, this is the place as there is little to no light pollution and we can see both amazing sunrises and sunsets as there is nothing in the way!
