We enjoy woodland walks and bike rides and are very lucky that the Forests cycle/walking trails starts from the gate and surrounds the property.

Historic 1840 ex Quarry Masters village residence. Backing onto RSPB’s Nagshead Nature Reserve, cycle and walking trails. Dean Forest Steam Railway runs to this unspoilt village with village shop/post office and cafe. There is enclosed, off road parking for every room (1 vehicle per room) but plenty of outside parking if bringing more than one vehicle. We also have cycle storage in a secure building with washing facilities for your bikes.

Parkend is ideally situated in the centre of The Royal Forest of Dean, cycle trails and walks are in every direction from the village, all woodland is managed by the Forestry Commission so no restrictions on where you wish to walk. In the village we have two pubs with restaurants, 2 Cafe's, Post office and stores which sells local produce, cycle hire and steam trains.
