The Hayloft is part of Yewtree Cottage and dates back to 1790 when it was a working farmhouse in the village. The bedroom is on the ground floor and features deep bay windows with country views, it was a hen house back in the 1800s. The vaulted space on the first floor used to be the hayloft and it features exposed wooden beams, large windows and skylights, this room has been converted to a living area with double size sofa bed, kitchenette, dining table and workspace.
We have had the good fortune to live overseas and travel widely, meeting so many beautiful people on our adventures. Now we have the joy of welcoming visitors to the delightful village of Hinton in the Hedges and hosting them in the relaxing environment of our Hinton Hayloft at Yewtree Cottage.
We have an adorable cocker spaniel who will do her very best to meet you and give you her charming spaniel welcome!
Shannon is Canadian, lived in Hong Kong for 18 years, and speaks German and French. Sophie is British, lived in Singapore and Hong Kong for 8 years, and tries to speak a bit of German and French!

Hinton in the Hedges is an historic village in the Northamptonshire countryside dating back to the 11th century. We have a charming pub, The Crewe Arms, and the idyllic Holy Trinity Church both in walking distance. The village is conveniently located 1 mile from Brackley an historic market town with many amenities as well as being on the edge of the Cotswolds, 10 miles from Silverstone race track, walking distance to the Hinton Airfield (park & ride for the Silverstone GP) and 24 miles from Oxford. For international travellers, London Heathrow and Birmingham airports are an hour away. Local train stations are Banbury, Bicester and Milton Keynes.
