Only 10 minutes from Rockingham Castle, Boughton House and the historic market town of Oundle. The property is also within easy reach of Stamford, Burghley House and Peterborough City. The farmhouse opened as a Bed and Breakfast in 1997. It had a brief closure in 2009 and was reopened in 2014. The property required modernisation and this is one of the main business aims to refurbish each room to a high standard befitting of modern tastes and quality, which has now largely been completed as of 2023. The other business aims relate to improving our eco credentials by restoring the garden to its former glory, improving 'green' facilities and encouraging more wildlife. Ultimately we want to ensure guests receive great service and have an enjoyable stay.

There is plenty to see and do in north Northamptonshire. Corby is one of the fastest growing towns in the UK and the newly created leisure quarter boasts an Olympic sized swimming pool, Corby Cube cafe and theatre, newly constructed Savoy cinema and Corby library in addition to new restaurants and amenities. If you are looking for more historic places there's Kirby Hall, Rockingham Castle, Boughton House, Deene park and the town of Oundle. Slightly further afield is the Georgian town of Stamford and the glorious Burghley House. For places to eat we highly recommend the Queens Head at Bulwick (3.5 miles) La Fonte Italian in Corby town (3 miles), the Tap and Kitchen, Dexters or the Talbot at Oundle (7 miles), the Shuckburgh Arms at Stoke Doyle (8 miles) and the very special Thai Garden at Rothwell (11miles). There are places to suit all budgets and some very tasty options. Several takeaway options such as the Royal Tandoori Indian and Ya Hao Chinese in Corby do deliver to the property.
