Llety'r Bugail is a two bedroom wooden lodge, with its own entrance and parking area. The lodge has a large decking area with uninterrupted views of the Moel Elio and Mynydd Mawr Mountains, a great place to sit, relax and enjoy the countryside. It has an open plan lounge and fully fitted kitchen. The bathroom has a shower, wash hand basin and w/c. The lodge has two bedrooms, one double bedroom, the other has full sized bunk beds. Outside there is a picnic table and BBQ.
Our family have been farming Tyn-yr-Onnen for more than 200 years. Although the farm has its roots in traditional agriculture, we are doing our best to support modern farming methods that support the environment. We are preparing to move to organic status, we have planted 2000 trees this year alone, and we have just won acceptance for our own hydro scheme not only to power the farm but potentially another 34 homes. So there is a lot going on at the farm.
This family run Farm lies at the foot of the Moel Ellio Mountain with Snowdon nestled behind. Tyn-yr-Onnen is the perfect spot for those who want to experience Snowdon, go off the beaten track and enjoy the farms breath taking scenery. From the farm there are 100’s of acres of heath land to explore where you may meet our sheep, donkeys, lamas, pigs, ponies, chickens, ducks and turkeys. If you visit us in the spring, you can see some of our new born lambs. Walks to Mynyndd Mawr and Moel Elio mountains are easily accessible from the farm, the most adventurous can even walk to the summit of Snowdon - we will be happy to recommend some of our favourite walks. It’s not all about mountains and walking, there are castles to explore in Caernafon and Beaumaris, and the beautiful beaches in the Llyn Peninsular and the Isle of Anglesey. The Welsh Highland Railway Station in the village is a pleasant walk from the farm. Zipworld with the fastest zipline in the world is easily accessible by car. A short drive brings you to the village of Llanberis with the famous train to the summit of Snowdon, Electric Mountai
