Location was great- just a 15 minute drive from Cadwell Park. We were self catering, but a lovely welcome basket was provided by Miranda, as we had stayed there previously and she wanted to show her appreciation.

Set in a beautiful setting with lots of nature to see. Miranda & John go above & beyond to make your stay the best. The pizza oven, fire pit are lovely touches. If you just want to get away from it all, highly recommended.

Miranda & John
Welcome to Peppercorn Pod at Beck House Farm! John & Miranda relocated to Beck House in December 2021 and are currently enjoying bringing the house, garden & land back to being a beautiful retreat here in Salmonby, deep in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Peppercorn pod is a recent addition to Beck House in 2022. Miranda has wanted to offer glamping since relocating to the area and this pod is very special and has a lovely contemporary and spacious feel to it. The pod is set in our paddock and is the only one we have, so you will have no other pod guests near by. Peppercorn Pod has plenty of its own space including a wildlife pond and stream (beck) but isn't too far from Beck House, so you are not completely alone! Inside the pod has a comfy double bed and ensuite shower room. There is underfloor heating and gas central heating, which makes it suitable for all seasons. There is a small kitchen with double gas hob, microwave oven, undercounter fridge freezer and range of kitchen essentials. There is a small double sofa bed and flat screen TV. Outside, it has its own veranda, which is just lovely for enjoying a morning coffee on, or alfresco dining whilst watching the sunset. There is a pizza oven, fire pit and BBQ with outdoor seating both outside the pod and by the Beck. If you enjoy nature, we have five acres of woodland where a variety of wildlife can be seen, such as deer, muntjac and barn owls to name but a few! If you enjoy some stargazing, we have some fantastic dark skies especially in our woodland area which has some great views. We love sharing all that is special at Beck House with everyone who comes to stay.
John, Miranda and the cats have recently relocated from Kent at the end of 2021, to live at Beck House Farm. Johns hobbies include restoring vintage tractors and working them round our fields along with a passion for WW2 history, which is perfect in this area with so many old airfields to visit! Miranda enjoys gardening and can often be found tending to her plants in the greenhouse & gardens. Wildlife photography is also a passion, which is plentiful in this area, with barn owls being her favourite!
Salmonby, as you might have spotted on a map, is a very small hamlet with about 10 houses and we are a mile from the village of Tetford and 4 miles from Horncastle, which is known for its many antique shops. The nearest pub serving food is the Blue Bell at Belchford (about 3 miles away) and Horncastle has a selection of pubs and a good chip shop! We have plenty of parking on site for both cars and bikes. We are also close to Cadwell Park if you enjoy motor sport and we can provide a secure lock up for your bike or have space for a trailer. We are 45 minutes from Lincoln where you can enjoy the many sites such as the castle and cathedral. The Historic market town of Louth is 20 minutes by car. The coastal towns such as Skegness and Mablethorpe are also only a short drive away. The Lincolnshire Wolds are a bit of a well kept secret and most people that come to the area for the first time, don't realise just how many hills there are here! This is not flat fenland Lincolnshire! It is a fabulous area for walking, cycling and just chilling out here. We have a 5 acres of woodland and plenty of wildlife to spot during your stay here.
