Conkers activity centre is six minutes by car, Moira Furnace Museum and country park seven minutes, and Hicks Lodge National Forest cycle centre nine minutes by car. Ashby de la Zouch Castle and Twycross Zoo are both around ten minutes by car, with Drayton Manor Park 20 minutes and Alton Towers under an hour. The 9 and 29 buses link Ashby de la Zouch, Burton upon Trent and Swadlincote from a stop two minutes' walk from the door. Burton-on-Trent Train Station and Tamworth Train Station are both 20 to 25 minutes by car, and East Midlands Airport is around 25 minutes by car, with quick access to the A42 and onward to the M42.
