Swinhay is a private self - catering annex attached to my home in the village of Hook. It is central to all of Pembrokeshire. The property has a garden, full kitchen and shower room. The bedroom has a double bed. There is parking on the driveway next to the annex. It does have two steps up to the annex. The estuary is about a mile away but you do need to walk there is no road access, the overwintering birds on the estuary are spectacular. I leave a complimentary breakfast for the first night, plus the usual tea, coffee sugar, milk etc . There is shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Towels are provided. I use cotton bedding. There is a TV, and wi fi is good. There is a washer and dryer and Fridge with a small freezer compartment.
I love to have people enjoy their break so if you need anything let me know, though I do give you space to be private. I enjoy gardening, and you have your own garden space plus can use the front garden with small pond. Lots of wildlife and birds. Sing in a local choir and work in farming. I have been hosting here for 9 years.
Hook has a sports club which you can use when resident. The next village LLangwm has a pub. There is a really good village shop in Hook which also does takeaway lunch food. Open Mon- Sat 9 till 6pm. The best places to visit and browse are St Davids, Narberth and Newport, Pembs. The best beaches Newgale, Marloes , Druidston Barafundle. The walk from stackpole lily ponds to Barafundle is spectacular as is Strumble Head, where you have your best shot at seeing porpoise or dolphins. Skomer embarkation is from Martins Haven.
