Such a beautiful cottage, had everything we needed, warm, cosy, well stocked kitchen, tastefully decorated. We especially loved the ladders up to bed, listening to the rain falling as we drifted off to sleep. Mandi was so helpful, we loved it and...

The Barn is a converted donkey stable in a rural setting up a private farm track; a car or bike is essential to get around as we are not on a public transport route, there are no footpaths to local pubs or shops. We are surrounded by fields and adjacent to a small farm, for the majority of the time it is very peaceful. We live in the house opposite the courtyard, however this is your own private space where you can relax in the sun and have your pets off the lead. The Barn is cosy and rustic, with a woodburner for colder winter nights. The heating is operated via a smart/digital thermostat, and there is hot water on demand. The heating is pre-set to a maximum 21c/18c day/night which is comfortable for the majority of guests. There is a surcharge applied to guests who disconnect the heating internet bridge. There are books and board games, and a smart TV with multiple channels. The kitchen/diner has a table for 5, there are 2 fridge/freezers, electric oven/hob/grill, toaster, kettle and cafetiere. Please note, no dishwasher or washing machine. The sleeping mezzanines are accessed by ladders, and against our fire safety regs for children under 12, anyone with mobility issues or pets! The single beds are above the sitting room, the double is on the kitchen side. There is a single sofa bed with bedding in the sitting room for anyone with mobility issues or who prefers to sleep with their pets. Pets are more than welcome to hop on the sofas, however please remember to bring a blanket or towel for this purpose, it helps keep things fresher for future guests. The courtyard is gated and secure for pets to be off the lead. There are many fabulous beaches and coastal walks within a 5 mile radius, most are dog friendly even in summer, and the Pembrokeshire coast path offers stunning scenery if you like walking. We have a lockable shed for bike storage if you want to explore by bike.
We have lived here for over 10 years and enjoy many outdoor activities here. You'll generally find us at the beach or out on our bikes! My husband also surfs, so can offer advice about the best beaches to surf near here. I am a keen cyclist so can offer advice on quieter lanes and the best cafes en route.
We have so many gorgeous beaches you could go to a different one each day of the week! The water clarity for swimming and snorkelling can be amazing in summer, and coasteering is a great day out. Surfing, bodyboarding and paddle boarding are always popular and there are local operators that offer group and private lessons. The Pembrokeshire coast path and Bosherston lily ponds offer beautiful scenic walks, those looking for more secluded areas can easily walk sections of the coast path where you may not see a single soul all day. For those wanting a perfect seaside town experience, Tenby is a 30min drive or train ride. It also has amazing ice cream, some excellent cafes and plenty of boat day trips including to the popular Caldey Island. For those wanting to see wildlife there are the puffins on Skomer island and gannets at Grassholm. Skomer day trips with Pembrokeshire-Islands operate from Martins Haven (45min drive) and book up quickly from December, although the sea safari boat trips are also good value to see the puffins from the water, and you can even book puffin snorkelling trips with Celtic Deep as a once in a lifetime experience.
